Bridgeview Van Lines

Bridgeview Van Lines is a scam. I worked with someone named “Randy” who took thousands of dollars from us. Then day of move out, no one showed up, no call, no text, nothing. I called to inquire and was put on hold for 45 minutes before being told that the truck had “broken down” on the way. 18 calls and 1.5 days later, still no truck and we slept on the floor since all our items were packed expecting pickup.

We ended up using Pods as a last minute saving grace, and was unable to get our deposit back per their “contract”. Complete scam, they outsource our your business, and leave you out to dry.

Horrible. Will lie about their prices and markedly raise the final price to 40% over the discussed price.

They are not reliable and came 3 days after the promised date. The movers were more like rude thugs and kept marking up for every little thing.

In addition, these trucks are not theirs. These people are brokers. We paid multiple different "companies" during the process with different names and they demanded cash.

Our boxes and furniture arrived 1 month after the promised date. And there was just one guy, he told me if I helped him unload we could receive our items today. Otherwise would be another week until he found men on Craigslist to help him. So...I unloaded the boxes and furniture myself.The other guy dropped our 20 year old dining table straight onto the concrete from the top of the truck. The legs broke off. Multiple other things were broken, we didn't even take them inside. Just left them for the garbage truck.

All in all, we went from agreeing on $2800 to $5000 paid total. The people, the process, and the whole setup is sketchy and suspicious. Not to mention the damage we incurred. In addition the inconvenience of making my family sleep and eat on the ground for a whole month.

This company was great on the phone when booking, but when it came to the move they subcontracted a disreputable company to move us and then they refused to hear or deal with any complaints along with the enormous overcharges.

I would - never - trust this company to arrange my move, if I had known in advance the way they operate.

The movers claimed we had 1400 cubic feet (four times more than we did) but charged us 1100 cubic feet, “to help us out”. My son was home to let the movers in and signed the estimate. I was at work and called Bridgeview Van Lines before the movers left to tell them we were being scammed, but they made justifications to support the false claim by the movers and refused to validate my concerns. Ultimately, they said nothing could be done since my stuff was in the truck.

We were greatly overcharged for 1100 cubic feet and they refused to investigate my claims about this false report on the size of our move.

Bridgeview Van Lines is a total scam. Don’t walk, run away from this scam and their low initial bid. They way under bid everyone else in order to get your deposit, which you will find is not refundable. They will stress that they are mover’s and not brokers, which is another lie. They will say that it will be their trucks, their movers, their careful handling of your belongings, which were all lies. During this time they raised their quote by triple all the while holding your deposit. They then did not show up on time, not a few hours late but days late on both ends. They sent a huge crew of three men, two of which did not speak English, and did not care the least about customer service. This is not a reputable company but just a huge scam! This is my first negative online review of a company but just want others to not fall into the same trap that I did. Run away from Bridgeview Van Lines!!!!

I used Bridgeview Van Lines twice this year! Once from Jupiter to Boca Raton Fl. Which Bridgeview Serviced and Second we moved my grandparents from Chicago IL, down here to Boca Raton both moves went really well. Only a piece of glass from a picture frame broke on my grandparents move which was due to her not packing it properly. One of Bridgeviews agents serviced my grand parts move, they were great!

Our move went flawless from Jupiter to boca. We did have a slight packing up charge due to me and my husband not being able to fly out there to pack them up before the movers got there. Which we expected an increase in the price. They did however honor the packing price we were originally quoted when we got the quote. Which we declined thinking we were going to make it out there to help.

Chase Adams is who I made my original reservation with he was very easy to work work and made things a little less stressful.

I would definitely recommend Bridgeview

Under no circumstances give this company a check. They will create an ACH and deduct without your authorization. They did so with me. Complaint pending with Attorney General's office. Use money orders or credit card.(I am certain they will NOT do business with you). I encourage all victims of this company to file with the Attorney General as well. Seniors note the Attorney General will award you more than your recorded loss! Take the time and write the complaint! Please also note there is a pile of complaints with the BBB. Write one there too!

STAY AWAY from this company. They brokered my contract to an AWFUL company that has been in business for just 3 months and uses contractual drivers, not employees. We booked a truck for an interstate move from MD to MN 2 months prior to the scheduled move with Bridgeview. I felt very comfortable with the video "walk-through" estimate as well as the customer service representative (Christian D) I spoke with. When QC (Ethan K) made a final call 4 days before the move, we were told there was an "underestimate" of the size of the load and the estimate was increased by over $4k. Imagine my surprise when a driver from a DIFFERENT company called the night before the move asking me how long I would take him to get to my home (really???) and if we "really need a full truck". He arrived with a truck almost 1/2 full (21 linear feet of the 51' ft truck) and estimated a significantly larger load-from 3400cf to 5300cf and said that we needed another 26" truck. (which by the way was totally bogus as a single truck arrived with our goods at the destination of our new home in MN). Bridgeview had not notified me that they "sold" my contract after collecting the $6K booking fee and offered no support for the company they brokered my contract to after being told they "highly" value their customers and are committed to superior customer service. I'd love to go back in time as I would not have contracted with them. They just may broker your contract out and keep their cash and walk away.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

They have been lying to me since the beginning. Starting with under quoting me, even after I called back and said that the quote was not accurate. They assured me it would be fine, it was not. I payed them 1700$ more dollars after pick up. Which is where I went wrong, but hen they came to pick up my stuff they had not system of recording items at all. I still have no idea what exactly is on that truck. The customer service has been some of the worst I have ever experienced. I have been talked down to, interrupted, yelled at, called repeatedly and treated like a complete idiot. When asking for updates on the whereabouts of my items I was faced with more vague answers and many more questions. One of those questions being…. “Will I ever see my stuff again?”

Absolutely criminal behavior. I contracted for a move from Fort Lauderdale to Colorado and was asked to pay $1900 in fees and another $1000 to the carrier who would pick up my belongings in Tamarac, Florida. The pick up was July 16th, 2023. Today is September 11th, 2023 and it is impossible to get a straight answer where my things are and when they will be delivered. There was a 72 in TV, $900.00 Brand new Hextan pots and pans, over $ 1500.00 , my ski gear and winter weather wear for Colorado that cost well over $5000. My entire wardrobe, and 15 pair of shoes, the shoes alone are worth more than $ 10,000. My parents pictures and my personal belongings that I need to set up house here in rural Colorado. All of it is gone. I've had meetings with the CEO, the CNO and the administrators for the medical clinic I work for and have been working daily to get any information where my things are and when they will arrive. It is snowing outside tonight and I do not have the space heaters I'd packed. This is beyond human deciency and I've reached out to find out if this is actually a capital crime due to the value of the items and the jewelry I entrusted these people with. I can not believe this organized criminal activity is allowed and will work tirelessly to resolution. So many of the things in the move can not be replaced. It's a total loss. The only thing missing here for other readers are the names of the people with whom I have spoken, there has been Josh, Scott, Maya and customer service team that are beyond rude and act like I'm bothering them because I want my things. I have been told I would have a call by the end of this business days so many times, I've lost count. I just want my things, How can that be so difficult? The Broward County Florida DA needs to investigate this

I’ve had the WORST experience with this moving company and I’m here to warn other consumers to please reconsider hiring this company - they’ve outright lied to me when informing me of approximate delivery date for my interstate move. They told me it would take a couple of days on the phone and then it turns out that they take up to 30 BUSINESS days to deliver, per fine print in their bill of lading which they don’t produce until you’ve already made the first installment and hired them. A competitor who I was checking out before hiring this co. WARNED me that they only have one truck. I dismissed it as competitor trying to get my business, but man do I wish I had listened to them! Also, they quoted me a much lower price to seem competitive, and after I accepted their estimate and when the moving guys were at my house, they told me the move would cost A LOT more and provided no real explanation except to say the original quote was incorrect. They refused to continue the move unless I signed and agreed to new higher fee. These are in my opinion coercive unethical tactics that every consumer should be aware of. It’s been over 3 weeks for a 14 hour distance move for me and still no furniture in sight. They have provided several delivery dates that came and went. Please beware!!!!!!!!

I was told I could cancel within by Robert, 7 days and or they would credit me. I broke my foot an could not travel they had charged me $987. I asked for a refund within 3 days of booking and my move was not until 2 more weeks. After submitting my xrays I did know how long it would take to heal. They not only denied cancelation but did not credit or refund me after I paid full deposit amount. CROOKS, THIEF. DO NOT USE THEM OR TRUST THEM CUSTOMER SERVICE IS YOUNG AND INEXPERIENCED SHE HAS NO PATIENCE AT ALL!

Bridgeview gave us a quote of $1700. I phoned Dave to ask a few additional questions and the estimate went up to $1780.00. Dave denied everything that I ask from reading their reviews. After signing the estimate and agreeing to a pick up date, a third party company phoned to pick up our items a day early. No big deal. The contract reads that our items would be delivered in 5 to 14 days. However, on day 21 another driver phoned and stated that he had our items and would deliver in 2 to 3 days which would of been on a Sunday. We cancelled all plans and waited on Sunday, November the 12th. Finally, at 2:30 PM, we contacted the second driver who then informed us that again another driver had our items and they delivery would not be happening on this day. Fortunately, we have insurance on our items and will be filing an insurance claim. We attempted to phone Bridgeview and the third party unreputable company with no answer nor response.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of hiring Bridgeview Van Lines LLC for my move, and it turned out to be an absolute nightmare. I cannot stress enough how disappointed and frustrated I am with their services.

From the very beginning, there were warning signs. Several other moving companies had warned me about Bridgeview Van Lines LLC, but I made the mistake of ignoring those warnings and letting my guard down. It was a decision I deeply regret.

Communication with Bridgeview Van Lines LLC was practically non-existent. After the initial contact, they seemed to disappear into thin air. Despite numerous attempts to reach out to them, I received no response and no call backs. It's incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful to leave customers hanging without any explanation or updates.

To make matters worse, I now feel like I have been scammed by Bridgeview Van Lines LLC. They took advantage of my trust and left me feeling robbed. It's truly disheartening when a company fails to deliver on their promises and leaves their customers in such a vulnerable position.

I strongly advise anyone considering using Bridgeview Van Lines LLC to think twice. Learn from my mistake and do not make the same error in judgment. Do your research, read reviews, and choose a reputable moving company that values communication and customer satisfaction. Bridgeview Van Lines LLC is not worth the risk or the headache.

Overall, my experience with Bridgeview Van Lines LLC was beyond disappointing. Their lack of communication, unresponsiveness, and apparent disregard for customer needs are clear indicators of their untrustworthiness. Save yourself the trouble and avoid them at all costs.

I contracted with Bridgeview Van Lines for a cross-country move in June 2023. They contracted out the move to Familiar Movers. Upon delivery when the movers opened the back of the truck our furniture came crashing out of the semi onto the street. This was witnessed by our friends and neighbors. One of our living room large chairs were damaged and also two pieces of furniture were soaking wet. After numerous calls and completion of submitting photos etc. The carrier agreed in writing to reimburse us for the repair of the leg of the chair and upholstery cleaning. A small sum of $289. That is all I asked for. The written agreement is dated August 11, 2023. It is now January 2024 and we still have not received the refund. I have been in contact with both companies almost weekly and they are always very nice and promise that customer service is their highest priority and the refund is in process. Still nothing. This is ridiculous. We were required to pay upon pick up and upon delivery, with no exceptions. Yet they can't refund the 289 dollars that they agreed to?

Stated "we are a national company and will not farm out the business". They did. Stated they will not inflate the price on pick up day which they did. We had the exact items that were on the estimate list and they attempted to almost double the price, blaming the 3 piece sectional couch, which was on the list. Being in a tough position of being all packed up. We ended up paying more than the quote. 26 days later (they estimated 7) our items arrived and no assembly per the contract, as they didn't have the tools. REALLY? Called for a reassembly refund with no response. Amazed they are allowed to stay in business.
